Something remarkable and heart-warming happened in the wake of the marathon bombings last week. Thousands of people were wandering the streets of Boston, stopped mid-race. They were lost, cold, exhausted from running, and without phone, money or ID. Residents opened their homes they the runners could rest and make calls. People drove around for the express purpose of transporting these folks somewhere. Restaurants asked that people pay only if they could. This is America. I am proud.

I bought two t-shirts over the weekend, with full amounts going to the recovering victims. One says Boston Strong, and the other says We Are Boston, designed in Stars and Stripes. I will be proud to wear them when I run.

The people making these shirts must be proud of their work. Are you proud of your work? Are you proud of your marketing? Are you proud of the action you’re taking, as opposed to planning, thinking, and preparing for action?

What marketing activity can you execute today, in 15 minutes or less, that will make you proud?

This piece ran in my Evangelist Marketing Minute short-form newsletter, which you can receive every Monday morning for free by signing up here.
