Who: Summertime means blueberry season, which also means it’s time for Lyman Orchards’ annual Blueberry Fest. We’re celebrating the superb superfruit -- a plump nutritional powerhouse -- with a day full of fun events, entertainment and food.
What: The Blueberry Fest includes activities for kids (of all ages), from our pick-your-own blueberries, raspberries and jostaberries.
When: Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Lyman Orchards, 32 Reeds Gap Rd, Middlefield, CT
Why: The annual family-friendly event includes activities for kids (of all ages), as well as freshly baked blueberry treats from the Apple Barrel, including freshly-made blueberry shortcake. There will be live music with Goldrush, pony rides, pie-eating contests, face-painting, horse-drawn rides, henna art, kettle corn and more.
